Friday 11th to Sunday 13th July 2025
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to come together with other families in the heart of the beautiful South Downs National Park to enjoy a weekend of fun activities and adventure combined with worship and family time.
Designed primarily (but not exclusively) for families with primary school aged children. The weekend will start on Friday afternoon and finish at lunchtime on Sunday.

The cost for the weekend is £25 per person* (under 5’s free) including two evening meals and use of all the Campsite facilities.

What is Family Camp?
Family Camp is a great opportunity to gather together with other families and share a weekend of activities, games, workshops, music and worship.
Who is it for?
Families made up of people of all ages, and the weekend is an opportunity to spend time together. Family Camp will include families from parishes and communities across the Diocese of Chichester. It is open to everyone, from those exploring faith, re-engaging or looking to deepen their existing belief or those just looking for some quality family time and connecting with nature.
What are the arrival and departure times?
The event runs from Friday 11 July to Sunday 13 July. You are welcome to arrive during the afternoon on Friday from 2:00pm, and depart after lunch on Sunday (although everyone is welcome to stay and use the facilities for the rest of the day).
What is the weekend programme, and will we be expected to join in everything?
The full programme will be sent to you after booking and it is up to you how much you do during the weekend.
Friday night there will be a meal and weather depending hot chocolate around the large fire pit. Saturday starts with the option of morning prayer for those that wish and breakfast as a family. The rest of the day will include family workshops, a chance to explore the grounds, play games and activities regrouping for supper. Sunday morning breakfast will be as a family this will be followed by worship together.
How much does it cost?
Tickets for the weekend are £25 per person with children under 5’s free (pre-school age children are free). The cost of the tickets includes two evening meals. A limited number of bursaries are available for disadvantaged families; in the first instance speak with your church leader about this.
What facilities are available at the campsite?
There will be a specific camping area and a separate parking area. The site has toilets and a number of showers. There is a place to get water plus areas for rubbish & recycling. The campsite is solely for Family Camp during the weekend and there is a children’s play area where children can play outdoors in a safe environment and also enjoy the woodland area.
Do we need our own tent and camping equipment?
If you have your own tent and equipment great. If you don’t, it would be worth asking your church leader whether anyone in your worshipping community may have a tent and equipment which you could borrow. Failing this, there are a limited number of tents available to use free of charge; these will be allocated on a first come basis.
Do we need to bring our own food?
Meals on the Friday and Saturday evenings are included in the price for weekend and we are encouraging families to join together for meals. Breakfasts and lunches are expected to be provided by campers themselves.
Are there toilets on site?
Yes, the campsite has toilets with disabled access.
I have special dietary requirements – will you cater for these?
We will do our utmost to cater for all needs. Please let us know on booking what your requirements are so that we can cater accordingly and a member of our team can contact you directly if required.
My child has special educational needs – is there any provision?
Most activities are family activities, we have a quiet area available. Please let us know what your child’s requirements are in advance so that we can try and make suitable provision.
Will there be any special safeguarding provisions in place?
There will be a team of named people onsite for the duration of the event who will manage any safeguarding issues should they arise. Please note that this is a family event and that you will be responsible for your children during the weekend.
